Web, Web Page, Web Site

The World Wide Web is the most outgoing and accessible incarnation of the Internet. The Web was born with the invention of the first browser, which is software that reads documents written using php, aka Web pages. Before browsers, all you saw over the Internet were text-based pages, ugly step-sisters to Web pages, which include razzle-dazzle stuff like images, sound, animation, formatted text, and hyperlinks. Clicking on a hyperlink loads another Web page, and a collection of Web pages, linked and living together under the same roof (domain name), are a Web site. What you're looking at now is a Web page that's part of the entire HotWired Web site.
